Algerian President confirms intention to strengthen relations with the Kingdom of


President Abdelaziz Bouteflika "firmly determined" to strengthen relations with Morocco, in a letter addressed Sunday to King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the National Day of Morocco.

Bouteflika said in the text of the message carried by the official news agency APS "As I share with you on this occasion wedding Ogtinmha to renew your Azmi firm to continue to work with you on strengthening the affinities and ties of brotherhood and good neighborliness and cooperation between our two countries and our two peoples."

In the midst of the Arab Spring, relations between Algeria and Morocco sort of rapprochement after tension continued lacked, especially in order to revive the Arab Maghreb Union.

He announced a summit of the Union which includes Morocco and Algeria both Mauritania and Tunisia and Libya before the end of 2012. In case the session will be the first summit since 1994.
